Active participation of UPM Paper

UPM will supply paper for the conference material. UPM DIGI Finesse premium silk was selected to be used due to its perfect match to the digital printing paper theme of the event.

Thomas Ehrnrooth, VP, Marketing and Communications, UPM Paper, is delivering the keynote speech at the commencement of the EMGE conference program. Ehrnrooth’s presentation is titled “Setting the stage: the future of Paper”, and it examines core matters that office and digital printing papers are facing in the current paper industry.

Another speaker from UPM Paper will be Marcus Kuhr, VP Sales, Distributors, UPM Paper, who will highlight possibilities for these market sectors under the headline “Market trends in Office and Digital Printing papers”. The conference will provide the participants a valuable opportunity to gain new information and insight into these important market sectors, together with a unique opportunity to network with key industry leaders, customers and suppliers from around the world.

UPM will also display its promotional material at the conference, and invites participants to come and meet our conference speakers and sales professionals!

Flexibility and quality drive UPM Paper’s success in the digital market

UPM NorService in Dörpen, Germany has acquired and implemented a SHM Digicut sheeter in order to be competitive in the digital printing market expansion. This new machine enables UPM to fulfil the demand, increase the quality and shorten lead times.

“I am convinced that there are still niches within the mass markets, but you need to be quick, flexible and offer value to your customer. We see that digital print grows and so does the need for diversity in sheet sizes,” says Herbert Hennig, General Manager, UPM NorService. With its UPM DIGI paper range, including UPM DIGI Finesse and UPM DIGI Color laser, UPM is focusing on this new market, with UPM NorService serving as the converting centre.
