(UPM, Dörpen / Düsseldorf, 29 May 2008, 10 am) – UPM will be launching a new brochure providing technical background information on its sheet-fed offset paper at drupa 2008.
UPM paper undergoes strict quality control throughout the entire production process. Understanding testing methods and being able to classify technical measurement values is also a major advantage for paper buyers and printers when comparing different paper qualities.
In this new brochure ‘Testing and selecting paper’, UPM explains the most important basic properties of sheet-fed offset papers as well as the relevant testing methods. Terms such as chromaticity range and standard light type are also explained, as are methods for checking mottling, absorbency and fold.
The brochure also provides practical tips for selecting and ordering paper as well as technical printing information about the wood-free coated and uncoated UPM Finesse and UPM Fine ranges.
