UPM LabelCoat-family keeps on growing with tailored papers for increasingly specified applications.
The basic C1S-paper grade for flexible packaging, UPM LabelCoat, is now available also in 50 g/m². Labelcoat is suited for offset, UV, flexographic and digital printing and offers high-quality in printability and runnability. UPM LabelCoat LC has received very positive feedback among our customers. The grade is an ideal choice when paper is subject to humidity. Typical uses include labels on PET bottles and tinned goods. The new UPM Labelcoat BB reduces the need for application primer in demanding lamination work.
High quality packaging for selective customers.
Supercalendered UPM Unique is now lighter, weighing as low as 50 grams per square metre. UPM Unique is an excellent packaging material when a light surface with good printability is needed. When appearance is decisive, UPM Unique lux is the obvious choice. The record-white grade suits top-demanding applications and is used, for example, in eye-catching cosmetics and food packages.
A new paper for luxury carrier bags and other strength demanding end-uses
A new paper grade with excellent surface and strength properties is now available on the market. UPM SwanCoat has been extended with a higher basis weight of 120 g/m2. There has obviously been a demand for thicker coated paper which would allow for the highest printing quality.
Duo got a tan - a new product alongside UPM Brilliant duo
Less than one year has passed since UPM launched UPM Brilliant duo, a glassine tailored for two-sided tapes. Now UPM does it again with its latest offering UPM Topaz duo, which as well is developed for tapes and similar applications, differs from UPM Brilliant duo only by its brownish shade.
EU Eco-label gives added value
UPM's bag and sack papers have recently been awarded the European Union's official environmental quality mark, the EU flower. The flower is currently the most internationally widespread and the most versatile eco-label. To be awarded the flower, products must meet a whole series of strict environmental criteria. UPM's bag and sack paper customers now have the opportunity to use the EU flower on their own products.
UPM Forest Life now also in French and German
UPM's interactive online experience www.upmforestlife.com has now been launched for German and French speakers. Now even more people can enjoy the forest visit and get to know how full of life the forest is. The adventure also continues in English and Finnish. UPM Forest Life will be displayed at Interpack but everyone can as well visit the site from the comfort of their own computer.
