(UPM, Dörpen, March 5, 2007) – The recent installation of the first Océ VarioPrint 6250 in Belgium, using a revolutionary duplex printing technology, was showcased during an Open House exhibition by DCL Print & Sign on March 2. UPM Office multifunction was the paper used to demonstrate the machine’s performance in high-speed duplex printing.

The Océ VarioPrint 6250 uses the innovative Océ Gemini Instant Duplex technology, allowing the machine to print up to 264 duplex A4 prints or 132 duplex A3 prints. Now one of the fastest duplex printers in the world, the Océ VarioPrint 6250 opens new opportunities to the high-end commercial and corporate printing markets.

During the show demonstration, the machine ran on UPM Office multifunction paper, a woodfree uncoated paper in A3, 100 gsm. Featuring increased whiteness and a much smoother surface after a major investment and quality improvement programme in 2006, the multifunctional office paper from UPM ensured utmost reliability during the high-speed demo runs and convinced visitors with its print results.

Along with the woodfree uncoated UPM Office multifunction, UPM also offers woodfree coated and supercalendered paper qualities from its UPM DIGI range that are suitable for this type of machine.
