(UPM, Helsinki, December 8, 2006) - The UPM Finesse ‘True Life’ campaign was awarded for its outstanding print production by the German Federation of Communication Agencies, GWA.
The annual GWA Production Award sets the standards for modern print production by honouring top performances and results in professional printed media production. The award-winning entries serve as references for the efficient and effective use of printed products with the highest levels of quality in printing, finishing and converting.
The outstanding print quality of the 24-page True Life brochure, the centre-piece of the campaign, was crucial in winning the award. It presents the impact of various finishing techniques, such as embossing, die-cutting, varnishing or scenting on different paper surfaces. The paper qualities used in the brochure are UPM Finesse gloss, premium silk, silk and matt.
“Thanks to wide-ranging finishing techniques, it is possible to create printed images that appeal to many senses,” explains Anke Böckmann, Brand Manager for graphical papers at UPM. “This not only attracts the reader's attention but also gives the printed images greater depth and makes them look more natural. This is further enhanced by the consistently superior surface of our Finesse papers with their remarkable whiteness and high opacity.”
