UPM Kaukas effluent treatment plant operations are getting back to normal

(UPM, Lappeenranta, September 25, 2006) – UPM Kaukas mill's effluent treatment plant operations are getting back to normal and production at the paper mill has started. Discoloured water, noticed at the effluent treatment plant on Tuesday 19th September 2006, was not released into Lake Saimaa. The mill's emission permission conditions have not been exceeded.
