UPM will present its entire paper offering for modern office applications at Paperworld, the international office supplies fair taking place in Frankfurt from 25 to 29 January 2006. Along with the office paper brands Yes, Future and UPM Office, digital printing papers from the UPM DIGI range, preprint papers from the UPM Preprint range and envelope papers from the UPM Mail range will also be on show.

When envelope and letter are a perfect match, the message is more likely to get through. “Our global paper offering, covering the entire mail chain, gives us a clear competitive edge,” explains Jussi Toikka, Vice President, Office Papers, UPM.

New sample file for UPM Mail and Preprint
A new sample collection illustrates just how perfectly the papers for preprinted forms, invoices or direct mails are matched to envelope papers. It shows the most attractive combinations that can be created with the five paper grades chosen from each range.

The latest addition to the product portfolio and also included in the sample collection is UPM Finesse bulky matt, the high-bulk paper suited both to preprint applications and envelope production. This wood-free matt-coated paper with a bulk of 1.05 g/cm2 has a special feel and stands out with its superior readability and excellent runnability throughout the printing and converting process. Preprinted documents can subsequently be personalised on all common laser and inkjet printers. This makes UPM Finesse bulky matt an excellent choice for personalised multicolour direct mails and high volumes. To sum it all up: exclusive papers that create a powerful impact even in lower basis weights.

The most extensive range of digital printing papers
UPM DIGI is the broadest range of papers for digital printing applications available on the market today. It covers fine papers and magazine and newsprint grades. The end user can choose from a multitude of finishes – gloss or matt coated, silk, pigmented or machine finished. The papers are available in reels and sheets, with various whiteness levels and in basis weights ranging from 45 to 350 g/m2. The UPM DIGI range thus covers practically all digital printing applications such as direct mails, high-quality advertising materials printed in small volumes, transactional documents, books, newspapers, catalogues or magazines for test markets.

UPM DIGI includes 16 grades structured into three categories:
UPM DIGI FINE – coated and uncoated wood-free fine papers in basis weights from 70 to 350 g/m2
UPM DIGI MAGAZINE – wood-containing magazine papers in basis weights from 54 to 100 g/m2
UPM DIGI NEWSPRINT – newsprint grades for digital printing in basis weights from 45 to 60 g/m2
