The International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) has launched in May the first ever Magazine Management Certificate programme. The sixteen day training programme is aimed at the professional development of magazine publishing executives who are preparing for senior responsibilities now or in the future.

The practical, experience-based, modular programme covers knowledge areas and management skills required to equip experienced mid-level or senior magazine publishing executives worldwide to operate effectively and confidently at a senior level.

UPM has actively contributed in developing and enabling the program as a sponsor. UPM will also host the “Managing production and paper” session at their UK site, bringing knowledge and authenticity to the session and allowing the participants to see some of the processes in action.

“We are pleased to participate in developing the FIPP Magazine Management Certificate. We believe that by sponsoring this high level, publishing executive training programme we can contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of magazine media", says Hans Sohlström, Executive Vice President, Marketing.
