UPM’s papers for digital sheet-fed printing also come under the UPM DIGI brand. They include coated and uncoated fine papers and complement the range of reel papers for digital printing within that range. The extended UPM DIGI range was presented at Drupa 2004. Comprising fine, magazine and newsprint qualities, UPM DIGI is among the most comprehensive ranges of digital printing papers in the market.

The following papers from the UPM DIGI series are available for digital sheet-fed printing:
- UPM DIGI Finesse gloss and silk: a woodfree double-coated paper with high whiteness and a smooth surface, available in a gloss and silk finish, substances from 130 to 250 g/m², sizes: A4, A3, A3+, und SRA3 and 52 x 36 cm
- UPM DIGI Color Laser: a woodfree uncoated, supercalendered paper with a particularly smooth surface and high whiteness, substances from 130 to 250 g/m², sizes: A4, A3, A3+, SRA3 and 52 x 36 cm
- UPM DIGI Finesse matt: a woodfree double coated paper in matt finish, size: 32 x 46 cm, substances from 80 to 150 g/m²

“Digital colour printing is currently experiencing strong growth,” explains Kim Schulte, Business Development Director in the UPM DIGI Business & Competence Center. “Therefore, UPM has decided to offer papers for digital colour sheet-fed printing in addition to its existing reel papers.”

Papers for digital sheet-fed printing are used wherever 1:1 marketing is demanded, as for example for personalised and individualised direct mails or catalogues, brochures, flyers, but also for small runs, variable data print or on-demand prints. The development of the sheet-fed range is based on UPM’s close cooperation with digital printing machine manufacturers.
