Office papers from one source

At Paperworld 2005 (January 26-30), one of the most important international trade fairs for office equipment and paper, UPM will be giving its first presentation of a range of papers that covers almost all office applications.

The key elements of UPM's exhibition will be the office papers Yes and Future with their product and packaging news and the UPM Office brand that was launched in April 2004. For the first time UPM will also be exhibiting the digital papers for sheetfed printing from the UPM DIGI series and the envelope papers of the UPM Mail series.

Technological synergy effects
Business correspondence, preprinted forms or invoices, personalised and individualised mailings, photo print-outs or even envelopes – UPM is one of the few manufacturers that offer papers for virtually all office applications. This includes papers for digital printing, preprint papers, envelope papers and cut-sizes.

“Our broad portfolio gives us an enormous competitive lead,” explains Matti Lievonen, President Fine & Speciality Papers at UPM. “The networking of this wide knowledge of products and technology means that we and our customers can handle the entire supply chain in a much better way. Since the restructuring of our sales and marketing organisation which we carried out last year, we now combine all product responsibilities from the field of office papers in a one-stop shop. This reinforces the transfer of know-how and produces valuable synergy effects.”

“To a certain degree digital printing, preprinting and envelope papers as well as cut-sizes are printed or processed with the same technologies,” says Jussi Toikka, Vice President Distributors & Converters for Office Papers, who continues: “Topics like feed times, ink consumption or postal costs are relevant for all product areas. Product developments can therefore be optimally coordinated. This produces enormous synergy effects, to the customer's advantage. We will be focusing on this even more strongly in the future.”
