Mr. Pekka Hurskainen, LWC Production Unit Director at Kaipola mill, has been appointed Vice President, R&D. He will be based in Lappeenranta and will report to Mr. Matti Lievonen, Executive Vice President, Business and Technology Optimisation. Mr. Jouni Huuskonen, the current Vice President, R&D, will be helping the R&D transformation until his retirement planned in May 2004.
UPM, Rauma
Mr. Pertti Asunmaa, Vice President and General Manager of the Kymi mill, has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Rauma mill. Pertti Asunmaa will report to Mr Arto Lampinen, Senior Vice President SC Operations. Mr. Yrjö Olkinuora, the current Vice President and General Manager, will retire in December 2003.
UPM, Kymi
Mr. Yngve Lindström, LWC Production Unit Director at the Rauma mill, has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Kymi mill. Mr. Yngve Lindström will report to Mr. Pauli Hänninen, Senior Vice President Fine Paper Operations.
All appointments will be valid as of January 1, 2004.
