Yes Professional Photo paper is micro-porous and thus the top-of-the-range of Yes photo papers. It is extremely convenient to use, as the ink penetrates the fine channels on its surface so rapidly that it dries immediately and can be touched just a few seconds after printing. Water, on the other hand, cannot penetrate the micro-porous surface due to its particular surface tension. This means that the paper is wipe-resistant.
Yes Professional Photo paper has that true photo feel because it has a PE coating just like conventional photo paper. This paper matches laboratory prints in terms of optical quality as well. Thanks to its high whiteness, Yes Professional Photo paper produces extremely high contrast pictures with brilliant colours. It is available in ultra glossy and satin finishes with a grammage of 260 g/m².
For durable prints
Yes Premium Photo paper is resin-coated. As the ink cannot penetrate into the paper, instead remaining on the colour-receiving layer, this paper permits brilliant colour reproduction. Yes Professional Photo paper also reproduces a wide, even range of colours, resulting in colour-true and realistic images.
In addition, Yes Premium Photo paper is extremely UV and gas resistant. Whilst UV light makes all colours fade, the ozone gas present in the air attacks the colour cyan in particular. Yes Premium Photo paper is resistant to both, which means that colours retain their brilliance for a very long time, even if prints are exposed to direct sunlight, for example close to windows.
Thanks to its PE coating, Yes Premium Photo paper also has that true photo feel. It is available in glossy (240 g/m²), semi-gloss (180 g/m²) and satin (180 g/m²) finishes.
The inexpensive alternative
Yes Photo paper is a cast-coated paper available in gloss in grammages of 130, 180 and 200 g/m². This is an inexpensive alternative for all those who are happy to do without the true photo feel - the paper has no PE coating - , but value simplicity in use and good printing results. However, the ink penetrates the surface quickly and dries immediately. The uncoated reverse side can be written on with a ballpoint pen.
For invitation and greeting cards
Yes Heavyweight paper has an extra-smooth surface for modern colour inkjet and colour laser printing. It is suitable for all uses where heavier paper is required, for example for the printing of invitation and greeting cards. It is available in 130, 160 and 190 g/m².
The protective eyecatcher
Yes Photo papers are supplied in folding boxes which protect the paper against mechanical damage and - thanks to an additional PE cover - against damp etc. as well. The all-over, right-aligned package design is intended to guarantee the most effective possible presentation on the shelf. The special sales displays created by UPM-Kymmene also help to ensure attractive presentation at the point of sale.
