UPM-Kymmene has extended its Future office range by adding a paper for large format printing. This was presented for the first time at Paperworld 2003 in Frankfurt.
Future phototech LFP is a photo-realistic paper for inkjet-based large format printing (LFP) which is suitable for use in all cases where short runs of high-quality prints are required: at the point of sale, at trade fairs, for external use and in many other marketing applications.
This paper ensures rich contrast and brilliant colours for posters, maps, art prints and marketing layouts. Thanks to its high UV-resistance, Future phototech LFP is ideal for use in all bright-light situations. It is also very suitable for laminating, which offers additional protection particularly in the case of applications exposed to a lot of handling.
Future phototech LFP is available in semi-gloss and satin, grammage 180 g/m². The reels are 91.4 cm wide and 30 m long and have a 2" (50 mm) core. Other sizes can be supplied to order. The paper is protected against mechanical damage and damp etc. by a box and a PE bag. Future phototech LFP is suitable for the LFP inkjet printers currently available, which use dye-based inks.
"We think this is a useful addition to our Future range, which was designed to meet the many and varied needs of those who use office papers every day at their places of work," says marketing director Herbert Hennig. The Future range includes papers for long runs of prints and copies, multi-functional papers and papers of particularly high quality.
