UPM-Kymmene is investing 44 million euros on the rebuild of paper machine 3 at
Jämsänkoski mill. The investment includes new coating and finishing machinery as well
as a new winder and wrapping line. The rebuild will improve the paper quality and the
capacity of the paper machine will increase from the current 110 000 tons to 140 000 tonnes.
Jämsänkoski PM3 produces one-side coated label face and base papers mainly for the self-
adhesive laminate industry. UPM-Kymmene is one of the worlds leading label paper producers.
The total production capacity of Jämsänkoski's and Tervasaari's three production lines is 350 000
tonnes.
