Assessing Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable procurement in global supply chains

UPM is among the 1% of over 90,000 companies assessed across over 160 countries to receive the Platinum score, the highest level of recognition, provided by EcoVadis. The sustainability assessment is based on UPM’s performance as a supplier.

 

 

Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Describing top-performing companies in sustainability from each sector on a global and regional level

DJSI is based on corporate environmental, social and governance performance, assessing issues such as climate change mitigation, supply chain standards, labour practices, corporate governance and risk management. UPM is listed as the forest and paper industry leader in the Dow Jones European and World Sustainability Indices for 2022 - 2023.

MSCI ESG Research provides ratings on global public companies, according to each company’s exposure to the most significant industry-specific ESG risks and its ability to manage those risks relative to its peers. UPM received an AAA rating in the assessment.

 

 

CDP Programme
Evaluating transparency, awareness, management and leadership in climate change, forests and water security

UPM received a triple ‘A’ score for our performance and transparent reporting on climate change, forests and water security. Out of nearly 15,000 companies scored, we are one of only 12 companies that achieved the triple ‘A’.

 

 

Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI)
Tracking performance of transparency in gender-data reporting
